I discovered art in a pretty random way and make art with the same loose boundaries. There is so much fun collecting old bits and pieces, from various “junk” piles and re-combining, re-arranging, re-inventing and exhibiting the finished pieces as my work. The options are limitless, the results extremely varied – from small figurative “angels” to large abstract monoliths.

Much like “outsider artists” I am largely self-taught and self-directing, not wanting to “learn the proper art way”. Of course good advice and strong influences abound, but much like my selection of materials, it’s personal, I only take what I can use.

So I suppose my art could be described as “free range” or “organic”. Its all art in the end, perhaps the difference is in the process. Please view my online sculpture gallery and see for yourself the “once was, what I am now” nature of the works.
